God's promises are new every morning

For the past few weeks, I have been dealing with some painful physical problems. I've felt overwhelmed and frustrated at times because I was being limited more and more by what I couldn't do. The list of housework, errands, keeping up with getting bills paid on time, getting my daughter's birthday party planned and not being able to write were all getting to me.  There were times when I just had to stay in bed a lot due to being in pain but the Lord gave me the strength that I need. I know that He is always there for me. I have to keep reminding myself to give my burdens to Him and not try to bear it all alone. He has never failed me. I am so thankful that I have a Savior who can lift me when my spirit feels broken. 
As I was returning home from dropping my daughter off to school yesterday morning, I saw this beautiful sunrise and I just had to say "Wow!" I've seen sunrises before but somehow or the other, this one was just amazing! There was this pink glow as the sun peeked over the mountains. I wished I could have taken a picture of it but I was driving, so today I asked hubby to drive instead. I took my camera and we had to rush to get to the place where I'd seen the sunrise but we were just about a couple minutes late. I was still able to capture some nice photos though. The photos below doesn't even come close to the actual beauty of what I'd seen.
This sunrise made me stop and think. God's mercies are NEW every morning. I'm still in some pain but thankfully, I am able to move around and work somewhat. I look around me and see His beautiful creations everywhere. Mornings are the beginnings of another day. Today, God has new promises for me and you. God is there. He hasn't gone anywhere. His blessings are waiting for us to enjoy and appreciate. No matter what happens in our lives, we can still enjoy God's promises! Have a blessed day! :)

Today, as I was going out to the porch, I caught a glimpse of this lovely house wren walking across the platform and I ran inside to get my camera. By the time I got back, I didn't see it immediately but soon saw it fluttering amongst the dogwood branches. In no time, it went to the pile of firewood and I was finally able to get some shots. I stood there for a long while admiring it. As I loaded the photos in my computer and saw the bird, I was reminded of Matthew 6:26. God takes care of the birds. They are important to Him. Pawprints on our hearts

Today made a week since my pet bassett hound, Belle went missing. We've looked, called and used the internet to find her but no luck. Sometimes, I think she would just be there waiting when I get home or open the door and it would be just like before. Sometimes at night, I hear the neighbor's dogs barking and I would think I hear "voice" but then I know it is not.  She was like part of our family and has been with us for over eleven years now. I just wish I knew what happened to her. Did someone steal her? Had she been hit and is lying on the side of a ditch somewhere? Is she injured and cannot get help? We even called Animal Control to see if they'd picked her up but no luck. I'd prefer her to be stolen and well taken care of than to be gone. This is just another of life's experiences we all must go through- pain and loss. It hurts even still. Praying that we can still find her. There is always hope. Leah Belle, you have left pawprints on our hearts!

Taking a break

After the intense editing and formatting my Kindle versions of the individual books in The Sunny Brook Trilogy, I am finally finished with the updates. Yay!!! It's been pretty grueling because formatting for Kindle and for print are very different. But God is good (if you know me- that's what I say a lot). So, to give myself a mental boost, I took my beloved camera and walked to the front yard. I love shooting anything- from the flowers to the birds and yes, even the weeds!! Here are just a few of the pics. I love Spring!!! I wish I had time to edit the rest but due to time constraints, I can't. Enjoy :) !
