There is a reason for your detours in life. Sometimes things happen in our lives to slow us down or guide us in a certain direction. Maybe the Lord has a detour for us to see something we may not have otherwise seen. Think of it like you are on a journey to somewhere. You are anxious to get to your destination and then the road that you are familiar with, is under construction. There is a huge detour. Along that detour route, you notice a beautiful view or come across something that you wouldn't have had if you were traveling on your familiar route. My chronic pains are getting the better of me. Yesterday morning I was able to get out of bed almost eleven o' clock. It can be very frustrating. There is so much stuff to do. My weekly schedule is full with chores, errands, my daughter's volleyball practices and games, appointments to make and keep, bills to remember to pay and so on. Yesterday I was cleaning out my bedside table drawers and found one of my notebooks I'd crafted years ago. I'd personalized it to make it my own prayer journal/diary/reminder. That was in the year 2009. As I flipped through the pages, I was reminded of what I did and experienced. You see, I was going through different things in my life such as health problems etc. They were causing me anxiety, stress and worry. I began to realize that they were making me take my eyes off God and focus more on my problems. I'd made that special book to help me keep my eyes on Him instead and not on my situations. Here is how I specialized the journal: * I got me cheap notebook. I paid $0.25 for it on clearance at a certain superstore, but you usually can get it at any dollar store. * I took some scrapbook paper and covered it to hide the ugly cover. *I then punched out some card stock tags and decorated the front. I wrote one of my special scripture on it. *Using the book as a sort of d...

Today is a special day for Christians all over the world. What a day to celebrate! A day when there's our Lord and Savior had conquered death and the grave. The Resurrection. We are given new birth and new life in Him if we choose to accept Him. A happy and blessed Easter to everyone! God bless!

Isn't it amazing that we know things but we just don't realize how powerful it is? I know God loved me enough to send His only Begotten Son, Jesus to die for me and provide the only way to Heaven by trusting in Him. I am so thankful for everything He has done for me in my life and for the future blessings I am going to receive. I thank Him every day. I trust Him in the good times and the bad times. I know He has blessed me even when I mess up in life. He has shown me His Grace and Mercy numerous times.  I trust in Him to take care of me. I am proud to be a Christian. I have faults and make a mess daily. Each day is a new struggle, a new obstacle to overcome. I need God in my life- all the time. I am lost without Him. Yesterday I was looking at Joyce Meyer on tv and enjoying her show when she made mention of a particular phrase that triggered off an epiphany. Yes, I know those words. I have said it before. A blessed and Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. This day, all over the world many people show their love to those who mean a lot to them. I want us to take the time to remember that no matter what, the best gift and the greatest love comes from our Heavenly Father. He gave us a free gift. Not only is it free, but eternal :) We do not have to work for it. We just have to accept it. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
