Happy Mother's Day!

Image
I just want to take the time to wish all moms out there a happy and blessed Mother's Day! A mother's job is never done is it? There is always something that a mother wants to do for her child. It may be to get something (purchased or made), do something such as a call or text or even cook a meal or favorite dish. Then there are the never ending prayers. No matter how grown the kids get, a praying mom keeps on praying. Many mothers are good mothers. They care for their children and what happens to them. They want to hold them or try to be there for them when life does not go well for them.  A mother is not superwoman but she sure does hold many capes. In her child's eyes, she is strong and cannot do wrong. She is readily available whether physically or through communicating from a phone, computer or some other method. She cooks the best meals. Her touch or voice is very soothing. She can bring a smile to her child's face. Everything is alright when mom is there for he...

Happy Easter!

Image
Today is a special day for Christians all over the world. What a day to celebrate! A day when there's our Lord and Savior had conquered death and the grave. The Resurrection. We are given new birth and new life in Him if we choose to accept Him. A happy and blessed Easter to everyone! God bless!

Thank you for loving me

Isn't it amazing that we know things but we just don't realize how powerful it is? I know God loved me enough to send His only Begotten Son, Jesus to die for me and provide the only way to Heaven by trusting in Him. I am so thankful for everything He has done for me in my life and for the future blessings I am going to receive. I thank Him every day. I trust Him in the good times and the bad times. I know He has blessed me even when I mess up in life. He has shown me His Grace and Mercy numerous times.  I trust in Him to take care of me. I am proud to be a Christian. I have faults and make a mess daily. Each day is a new struggle, a new obstacle to overcome. I need God in my life- all the time. I am lost without Him. Yesterday I was looking at Joyce Meyer on tv and enjoying her show when she made mention of a particular phrase that triggered off an epiphany. Yes, I know those words. I have said it before. I have thought it too but never really connected to myself. I have exp...

Pawprints on our hearts

Image
Today made a week since my pet bassett hound, Belle went missing. We've looked, called and used the internet to find her but no luck. Sometimes, I think she would just be there waiting when I get home or open the door and it would be just like before. Sometimes at night, I hear the neighbor's dogs barking and I would think I hear "voice" but then I know it is not.  She was like part of our family and has been with us for over eleven years now. I just wish I knew what happened to her. Did someone steal her? Had she been hit and is lying on the side of a ditch somewhere? Is she injured and cannot get help? We even called Animal Control to see if they'd picked her up but no luck. I'd prefer her to be stolen and well taken care of than to be gone. This is just another of life's experiences we all must go through- pain and loss. It hurts even still. Praying that we can still find her. There is always hope. Leah Belle, you have left pawprints on our hearts!...

Happy Valentine's Day and two freebies!

Image
A blessed and Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. This day, all over the world many people show their love to those who mean a lot to them. I want us to take the time to remember that no matter what, the best gift and the greatest love comes from our Heavenly Father. He gave us a free gift. Not only is it free, but eternal :) We do not have to work for it. We just have to accept it. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) My gift to you dear friends, is a free copy of two of my books. "The Garden of the Heart" and "The Power of The Christian Wife". I will provide the links below. Feel free to share with friends and family.

Be strong no matter what your circumstances

Almost two weeks have passed in this new year. With it, I have noticed that the challenges for me have already started. Isn't it amazing how the cares of this world can get to us? If you go on the internet or put on the television or listen to the radio, there is always something happening that stuns us, aggravates us, grieves us, disgusts us and so on. Nearly all the news you hear is bad news. It can wear you down whether you notice it or not. The good news is that no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we have someone to depend on (that is if you are one who trust in God or even believe in God). We have someone who loves us despite who we are or what we've done.   I had a couple of giveaways last month and a couple new members who joined my Facebook page have had recent losses of loved ones. Grief is never easy. I pray for them and others who are going through similar circumstances. If you are reading this and have experienced a loss, please remember this quote b...

Final Day in 2015

Image
Today is Thursday, December 31st. It is the last day of the year 2015. A lot can happen in a year. In fact, a lot can happen in a day. This year for me has been one filled with good and not so good, but I must say that I am still thankful. Thankful that though there were a few storms in my life, that the One and Only gave me the strength I needed. He has blessed me in so many little ways. I cannot afford to take it all for granted nor forget to know whom to thank. It is not 2016 yet. Just a few more hours to go, but I do want to take the time to thank each and everyone of my readers who has supported me and cheered me on. Thanks to each of those who have downloaded my books. Thanks to those who took part in the giveaways. My prayers are with you all. I wish you only the best. I pray that this coming year for you is one filled with lots of love and happiness. I pray also that we share His Love, be kind to one another and always be willing to lend a helping hand or even a smile t...

I am so excited to show you all a sneak peek of my new book coming soon. It is a short devotional for Christian wives called "The Power of the Christian Wife". It is adapted from a brief article I had written in 2010. I am still in the revision stage but was so excited when I got this cover done today. Stay tuned! Blessings to you all!
