Happy Valentine's Day and two freebies!

A blessed and Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. This day, all over the world many people show their love to those who mean a lot to them. I want us to take the time to remember that no matter what, the best gift and the greatest love comes from our Heavenly Father. He gave us a free gift. Not only is it free, but eternal :) We do not have to work for it. We just have to accept it.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

God takes care of His own

Today, as I was going out to the porch, I caught a glimpse of this lovely house wren walking across the platform and I ran inside to get my camera. By the time I got back, I didn't see it immediately but soon saw it fluttering amongst the dogwood branches. In no time, it went to the pile of firewood and I was finally able to get some shots. I stood there for a long while admiring it. As I loaded the photos in my computer and saw the bird, I was reminded of Matthew 6:26. "Matthew 6:26 - Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" God takes care of the birds. They are important to Him. Pawprints on our hearts

Today made a week since my pet bassett hound, Belle went missing. We've looked, called and used the internet to find her but no luck. Sometimes, I think she would just be there waiting when I get home or open the door and it would be just like before. Sometimes at night, I hear the neighbor's dogs barking and I would think I hear "voice" but then I know it is not.  She was like part of our family and has been with us for over eleven years now. I just wish I knew what happened to her. Did someone steal her? Had she been hit and is lying on the side of a ditch somewhere? Is she injured and cannot get help? We even called Animal Control to see if they'd picked her up but no luck. I'd prefer her to be stolen and well taken care of than to be gone. This is just another of life's experiences we all must go through- pain and loss. It hurts even still. Praying that we can still find her. There is always hope. Leah Belle, you have left pawprints on our hearts!

Taking a break

After the intense editing and formatting my Kindle versions of the individual books in The Sunny Brook Trilogy, I am finally finished with the updates. Yay!!! It's been pretty grueling because formatting for Kindle and for print are very different. But God is good (if you know me- that's what I say a lot). So, to give myself a mental boost, I took my beloved camera and walked to the front yard. I love shooting anything- from the flowers to the birds and yes, even the weeds!! Here are just a few of the pics. I love Spring!!! I wish I had time to edit the rest but due to time constraints, I can't. Enjoy :) !
