A blessed Christmas 2016!


Today is Sunday, 25th December 2016. The year has flown by. There have been a lot of changes in my life. A few of them not so good. My health has worsened somewhat and has reached to the point where I must take certain medications daily. I feel tired a lot and sometimes, it can be hard to focus or concentrate on certain activities. Nevertheless, I am so very blessed by many little things. The Lord has been so good to me. My hubby has always been my cheerleader, encouraging me and helping me in any way he can to make things easier for me. I cannot thank God enough for him. Our kids are doing well in life. We've been able to start working on little projects in our home. We were also able to have some bills paid off. I have had a few faithful fans who have been with me since early on. These here are just some examples of the gifts that we have been bestowed. 
This special day, I just want to say thank you Jesus for choosing to be our Savior. You give us hope and redemption and the opportunity to eternal life. What a wonderful gift! I pray that each of you my readers, would have that gift of salvation. It's free and priceless. Have a blessed Christmas 2016 everyone!

God takes care of His own

Today, as I was going out to the porch, I caught a glimpse of this lovely house wren walking across the platform and I ran inside to get my camera. By the time I got back, I didn't see it immediately but soon saw it fluttering amongst the dogwood branches. In no time, it went to the pile of firewood and I was finally able to get some shots. I stood there for a long while admiring it. As I loaded the photos in my computer and saw the bird, I was reminded of Matthew 6:26. "Matthew 6:26 - Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" God takes care of the birds. They are important to Him. Pawprints on our hearts

Today made a week since my pet bassett hound, Belle went missing. We've looked, called and used the internet to find her but no luck. Sometimes, I think she would just be there waiting when I get home or open the door and it would be just like before. Sometimes at night, I hear the neighbor's dogs barking and I would think I hear "voice" but then I know it is not.  She was like part of our family and has been with us for over eleven years now. I just wish I knew what happened to her. Did someone steal her? Had she been hit and is lying on the side of a ditch somewhere? Is she injured and cannot get help? We even called Animal Control to see if they'd picked her up but no luck. I'd prefer her to be stolen and well taken care of than to be gone. This is just another of life's experiences we all must go through- pain and loss. It hurts even still. Praying that we can still find her. There is always hope. Leah Belle, you have left pawprints on our hearts!

Taking a break

After the intense editing and formatting my Kindle versions of the individual books in The Sunny Brook Trilogy, I am finally finished with the updates. Yay!!! It's been pretty grueling because formatting for Kindle and for print are very different. But God is good (if you know me- that's what I say a lot). So, to give myself a mental boost, I took my beloved camera and walked to the front yard. I love shooting anything- from the flowers to the birds and yes, even the weeds!! Here are just a few of the pics. I love Spring!!! I wish I had time to edit the rest but due to time constraints, I can't. Enjoy :) !
