There is a reason for your detours in life

There is a reason for your detours in life. Sometimes things happen in our lives to slow us down or guide us in a certain direction. Maybe the Lord has a detour for us to see something we may not have otherwise seen. Think of it like you are on a journey to somewhere. You are anxious to get to your destination and then the road that you are familiar with, is under construction. There is a huge detour. Along that detour route, you notice a beautiful view or come across something that you wouldn't have had if you were traveling on your familiar route. My chronic pains are getting the better of me. Yesterday morning I was able to get out of bed almost eleven o' clock. It can be very frustrating. There is so much stuff to do. My weekly schedule is full with chores, errands, my daughter's volleyball practices and games, appointments to make and keep, bills to remember to pay and so on. My drafts need to be revised and edited. I am anxious to get them done but it seems as

He shall come down like the rain

It is summer time and summer rains are common to us. With the rains we've had lately, our yard needs mowing at least twice a week. When we mow, we do not get rid of all the grass. In fact, we leave some so that there would be new growth and hope for a thick lawn don't we? Last year, we've been under a drought and longed for a drop of rain. Our pond dried up. The grass was scant and the ground cracked. The leaves on the trees were a horrible sight to see. There was also an abundance of wildfires. Rain was prayed for by everyone around. Our lives were being affected. Livestock also. There seemed to be no end to the drought. Everything and everyone was perishing in some way. The Lord answered our prayers- in His timing. We are now getting the rains. The parched earth is drinking up with pleasure. The grass is so much greener. The animals are happier. The trees are healthier looking. Everything is transformed from ugly to beautiful. Rain does that to nature. You can wa

Get rid of all the junk in your life

Image
Junk, junk and more junk- everywhere! Junk in our homes, our workplaces, in the street, in our bodies and in our lives. We can all relate to that, can't we? Even if it is something nice and it serves no real purpose in our lives, it is considered junk. I hate junk. I hate clutter. It makes me overwhelmed when I see so much stuff surrounding me. I'll be honest and say that I have a lot of junk around that I need to get rid of. How about you? Do you need to get rid of some junk too? If you do, how does it make you feel? I know when I clean up and get rid of stuff, the place looks so much nicer and it makes me feel better. Let me tell you about my hubby. He is a very hard worker. In fact, he works so hard that he can barely sit still. He is always piddling around doing some thing or the other. A couple years ago, he bought a piece of property where he can keep his growing number of farm animals. The piece of land he got had a bunch of trees and brush along with two abandoned

Pain can be a barrier to enjoying your life

Pain can be a barrier to enjoying your life: It's been a long time since I have blogged here. It's not that I didn't want to but I just couldn't seem to make the time for it. For the past couple years and a half, I have been dealing with my health worsening from one issue to the next. As time went on, I had to deal with constant pains and going to the doctor more regularly. Now, I am taking different medications and it seems that I have been getting more added to the list. I have to take medications every day and some of the meds I would have to take for the rest of my life. These pains were causing me anxiety and worry especially since the varied tests I had to do did not yield what exactly was causing them. I constantly prayed to God about what I was going through. Some days I was okay with it. Other times when the pains became very intolerable, I would feel helpless because I was becoming incapacitated in doing the things that we all take for granted. Things li

Happy New Year 2017!

Happy New Year 2017!  Today is Sunday, 1st January, 2017. It is the first day of the New Year. Wow, where did 2016 go? I think that last year just flew by. I am not sure that I miss it though. I am looking forward to a new year and new beginnings. I pray that my relationship with the Lord would be one that is constantly growing. I pray for my fans who are still following me on Facebook. I've had some faithful ones from the very beginning of when I started the page. How blessed am I to have such dear friends! Though we do not know what tomorrow may bring, I plan to get more writing done. I have a few that are still in the draft process but with the worsening of my health this past year, I haven't done much as I would have liked to. So this year I will write more. I have made up my mind to do so and I pray that the Lord would give me good health and strength for it. I am also in the process of having another inspirational project getting started. I would not divulge too much

A blessed Christmas 2016!

Today is Sunday, 25th December 2016. The year has flown by. There have been a lot of changes in my life. A few of them not so good. My health has worsened somewhat and has reached to the point where I must take certain medications daily. I feel tired a lot and sometimes, it can be hard to focus or concentrate on certain activities. Nevertheless, I am so very blessed by many little things. The Lord has been so good to me. My hubby has always been my cheerleader, encouraging me and helping me in any way he can to make things easier for me. I cannot thank God enough for him. Our kids are doing well in life. We've been able to start working on little projects in our home. We were also able to have some bills paid off. I have had a few faithful fans who have been with me since early on. These here are just some examples of the gifts that we have been bestowed.  This special day, I just want to say thank you Jesus for choosing to be our Savior. You give us hope and redemption and

Time for a Giveaway!!

November is the month where a lot of people give thanks. This is Thanksgiving week. There are a lot of planned activities which vary for each of us. Some people still have to work while others plan their shopping expeditions, especially for the Black Friday deals. Still there are also others who are struggling and this week is hard for them because they cannot make ends meet. I pray that we can reach out to someone this week and help them in any way we can-no matter how small. Even the smallest kind gesture can make a difference to someone's life. We may be the light in their dark lives. Yes, we can make a difference. I would like to start off this week by announcing a giveaway! Someone can win an Amazon e-gift card. The lucky winner will receive it through their email after confirmation. Good luck to each entrant! Head over to my Facebook page to   Enter the Giveaway Here
